The European Travel Information and Authorization System (ETIAS) ETIAS is an electronic travel authorization designed for travelers from visa-exempt countries to enter the European Union (EU) for short-term stays of up to 90 days within any 180-day period. Here's everything you need to know:

Eligibility Requirements
You must meet the following criteria:
Be a passport holder from a country eligible for visa-free entry into the EU.
Plan to stay in the EU for no longer than 90 days within a 180-day period.
How to Apply for ETIAS
The application process is simple and can be completed online here: ETIAS Application
Fee: A EUR 7 application fee applies (free for applicants under 18 or over 70).
Details Required: You’ll need to provide your passport details, personal information, travel plans, and answer security-related questions.
Representation: If needed, someone else can apply on your behalf.

Validity of ETIAS
ETIAS is valid for up to three years or until your passport expires—whichever comes first.
If your passport expires, you’ll need to reapply for a new ETIAS authorization linked to your new passport.
Entry Requirements
A border guard will check your passport and ETIAS authorization upon arrival.
Important: An approved ETIAS does not guarantee entry. Entry will depend on meeting the immigration officer's requirements.
Overstay Consequences
If you plan to stay in the EU for more than 90 days within a 180-day period, you must apply for a different visa, such as a long-term visa or residency permit. Overstaying could result in penalties, fines, or future travel restrictions.
